For 17 summers and counting, The Music Shed has been the place where young musicians spend a week making music, building friendships, and performing live. Our Summer Rock Camp offers an immersive, week-long experience designed for beginners through advanced players.

What Students Learn:
At Summer Rock Camp, students go beyond just playing songs. They develop skills in:
Instruments: Guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, strings, and horns.
Why Summer at The Music Shed?
Unlike private lessons, camp puts students directly into the band experience—rehearsing together, learning from each other, and gaining the confidence that only comes from live performance. It’s the perfect way to spend a week of summer making music in a supportive, inspiring environment.
Serving Fairfield County, CT, including Redding, Wilton, Weston, Ridgefield, and Westport.
When I founded The Music Shed in 2009, I saw so many kids taking private lessons for a year or two before quitting. Why? Because they never got the chance to actually play in a real band. I built The Music Shed to change that—giving students the same teamwork and excitement you’d find in sports or theater, but through music.
Over the years, I’ve seen students grow from beginners to seasoned performers. Some stay for just a semester, others for seven years or more. Many have reached professional levels of musicianship, but all have built confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of music.
Our hearts can be shattered. We mourn and we painfully grieve. But our individual and collective Jewish souls can never be broken or extinguished. We light because we are light and this holiday we are reminded. We celebrate Hanukkah at the darkest time of the year and in the face of the darkest evil, because it’s what we have always done and we will continue. On and on and on.

Beautiful owl hung out for 20 mins right outside the studio. 23 years in Redding, I’ve never seen one till today. In love.
