Since I was a kid, I knew that rock, pop, jazz, and blues were meant to be played in a band. At The Music Shed, we turn that belief into action—bringing musicians together to learn, rehearse, and perform as a real band.
Based in Redding, Connecticut, we serve students from Wilton, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, and across Fairfield County. Our programs include:
Students don’t just learn songs—they gain confidence, stage presence, teamwork, and musicianship. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or preparing for advanced jazz piano studies, The Music Shed helps every student grow as a performer.
Join our community of young musicians and see why The Music Shed has become Fairfield County’s home for music lessons, band programs, and recording experiences.
Jump into the new school year with our Fall band program! From September to January, young musicians join a 6-person band and rehearse weekly, learning 7–10 songs of their choice. With a focus on creativity, collaboration, and confidence, every session builds real-world musicianship—and it all leads up to a high-energy performance at Shed Fest!
